Chester liked to play the Queen's Gambit, at least lately.

He couldn't do anything with it, as he liked open games better. But he needed to expand his understanding of openings, in his mind because he wanted to be the best chess player he could be. For no other reason, than best is best. There was the Slav Defense and the Symmetrical Defense to figure out.
